This long pine trestle table came from the Swedish countryside. The patina of the pine, wear and distress including some cracks along the top do not impact the integrity or functionality of the dining table, but rather create the character one finds so appealing in a farmhouse table of this type. It was common to have a long, narrow trestle table to feed farm workers during harvest time (hence the name, "Harvest Table") while the trestle style made it easy to assemble and disassemble where needed. Even today, you may choose to use it inside as a dining or even console table, yet can take the trestle pegs out and easily move the table to a patio or yard for "al fresco dining" when you like.
