Antique Large Original Oil on Canvas Landscape Painting At Sunset Signed by Adolph Larsen
Summer evening at Spanager Enge, Køge. Signed and dated Adolph Larsen, 1901. This magnificentt original oil painting boasts a strong presence both in size and subject. At almost 6 1/2' wide (at frame), the colorful sunset lines the horizon while creating a silhouette of the majestic spreading oak tree. Cattle are seen grazing in the distance while a tranquil pond is seen in the foreground. Extensive craqueluer is seen throughout the canvas. While the painting will likely benefit from cleaning, we leave that to the discretion of the buyer. Painter Adolph Larsen, 1856-1942, Denmark. The large gold gilt frame shows minor age related wear/distress and is in good condition for its age. This original oil painting is sold in as is condition as we found it in Europe.
