It is the lovely carved details and heavily paneled doors that draws one to this French oak sideboard. The bleached finish gives it a fresh and welcoming look for today's modern home and shows off the wonderful grain. The attractive scalloped skirt and cabriolet legs with claw feet finish the romantic look of this oak buffet. Note the use of wood pegs vs nails in the construction. The groove along the top back indicates there may have been a plate rack at some point. Any minor signs of cracks or wear are commensurate with age, please enlarge photos for understanding. While there is a small piece of trim missing under the right corner, it is not very noticeable under the over hang of the top. This sideboard is solid/stable and ready for use. Magnetic closure on doors instead of pull. Once key is included should buyer prefer to use it as a pull.
