A fine mahogany empire chest of drawers or commode with satinwood inlays. Mythological creatures adorn the upper drawer; when opened, a felt covered surface for writing is revealed along with storage cubbies and even holders for bottled ink. A larger figure and inlaid scene adorn the deep central drawer, lower drawer has an old repair to crack along the bottom. This elegant chest of drawers has been restored and ready to be placed and enjoyed. Any scratches/knicks are commensurate with age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this commode.
