This lovely long bench is a wonderful example of Swedish Gustavian craftsmanship with delicately carved details including a branch and leaf design.  Carved finials and tapered legs add to the timeless appeal and style. The original light dove gray painted finish has been gently distressed over generations of use (and reveals slight undertones of light blue). Please note the foam covered in linen fabric was used simply in photos to show what this bench may look like when properly upholstered (The loose fabric and foam can be included in purchase if buyer requests). See photo that shows the plank seat surface below the foam and fabric which is simply laid upon it currently. This bench has been restored and is solid/stable; any nicks, scratches, distress and signs of wear are commensurate with age and do not impact the function nor beauty of this lovely long Gustavian bench.  Please take a moment to enlarge the photos and examine the details up close.
