Early 19th Century Original Red Painted Large Chest of Drawers Dated 1807

The dresser is a wonderful example of European country charm as it still maintains its original brick red paint; where the paint is worn through years of use the natural pine is revealed below. Notice the monogram of PM DL and date of 1807, indicating this may have been a wedding present at that time. The iron side handles made it easier to move and place this dresser. The case has been sealed with a satin wax finish; it is sturdy and the large spacious drawers function well with 2 pulls on each drawer. Please take a moment to enlarge the photos and examine the details of this hand-crafted solid pine chest of drawers. Any dings, scratches, aged separation of wood, signs of distress and wear (please refer to photos) are a reflection of generations of use and do not detract from the vintage appeal or function of this large chest of drawers.
