The soft gray painted finish is captivating in this attractive large chest of four drawers resting on curved cabriolet feet. While the paint is newer and professionally applied, it compliments the age, rococo style and serpentine curves of this chest that dates back to the early 1800's. The layered painted finish has been distressed, creating aged character while revealing the natural wood below. Each drawer had two brass pulls making them easy to open and use. This strong and elegant dresser is entirely of oak which and has been restored. All wear, age related cracks or separation (including drawers) is commensurate with age and does not impact the beauty nor function of this large chest.
