This oak secretary reflects the refined grace and style of early 1800's Sweden. The applied decorative carving adds a romantic touch to the drop down desk. The traditional interior has 13 unique, small drawers offering space to organize and a central "cubby" as well.  It has been given a newer, professionally applied black painted finish with brick red interior, updating the look and accented with brass hardware. This secretary has been restored, all drawers fuction, desk top is solid and ready to be used and enjoyed. Any scratches, cracks, dings, or age related separation are commensurate with age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this lovely piece.
