This oak secretary or "bureau" reflects the grace and class of Swedish styling in the early 1800's. The lovely serpentine drawers and cabriolet feet add a romantic touch, accented by the brass hardware along the drawers. The traditional interior with 6 small drawers and central “cubbie” offers compact space to organize. It was later professionally painted with an exceptional blue painted exterior complimented by a black interior, updating the look while adding to the classic Swedish styling. Fully restored, drawers function, desk top is solid and ready to be used and enjoyed. Multiple cracks, nicks, scratches, age related separation of wood (back/lower drawers), signs of wear are commensurate with age and do not impact the function nor beauty of this exceptional secretary.
