It is the deep, rich patina of the aged pine that first captures your attention in this stunning secretary, also known as a bureau, from the late 18th century. The curved large 3 lower drawers reflect the Baroque period, while the 10 petite drawers inside the working area were traditional features of this style of desk. In the inside center is one small "door," which opens to reveal a small storage space and slender top drawer as well while desk lowers to rest on two arms that can be stored when the desk is closed. This secretary is strong, functional, and ready to use on a daily basis, while the wonderful craftsmanship and striking aged pine with wax finish make it a great find as well.
