Antique 5' shop counter with original residual paint over natural pine. Yellow, green and brown paint are still visible on the open storage side, while the opposite enclosed counter has red and green trim with white on the panel doors. All the paint is distressed and worn away from generations of use, adding to the authentic vintage feel of this sideboard.
The back is paneled which makes this fun cabinet ideal for a free standing kitchen island.
The constant wear from years of use is revealed in the layers of distressed paint, age related separation (top in particular), old repairs, gouges, cracks, and nicks that create the rustic appeal of this old store counter. Note the deep dark, and even stained natural pine top that contrasts with the painted base. 
This painted sideboard has been restored and given a waxed finish; it is strong, stable, and ready to be used and enjoyed.
