The raised panels with inlay of contrasting wood and the rich brown oak color add to the appeal of this late 18th century cabinet. Originally lower to the ground, about 8 inches has been added to the legs to achieve the height of a server or buffet. The wonderful chip carving that surrounds the doors, continues down through the legs to the floor. The cabinet has ample storage behind the hinged doors and has been sealed with a satin wax finish enhancing the patina. Please take a moment to enlarge the photos and examine the details up close.
