Antique Industrial Carpenter's Workbench / Console TableReturn to Consoles

The depth of patina on this workbench comes from years of constant use. It has two wooden vices and a recessed tray where the carpenter would lay his tools. The traditional trestle base allowed it to be assembled and taken down/moved more easily. Remains of paint splatter can still be seen on the workbench top which add to the character of the piece. It has been restored and waxed, so is strong and ready for use. Please review the close up photos to appreciate the character of the distressed wood. Workbenches such as this are often used as console or sofa tables today. Note that measurements are always taken at the widest part, in this case from the left side to the end of the vice on the right.
