Original hand painted black folk art pine bench with simple floral/vine folk art embellishments along the front and back; dated 1951. 
Unique to this bench is the narrow depth at only 13". The hinged bench seat opens to reveal interior storage. Gently scalloped skirt below.
Restored, cleaned and waxed, this bench is ready to use and enjoy. 
Undertones of dark green and navy may be seen under the black paint depending on lighting. Distress to painted finish throughout reveals natural pine below.
Any nicks, scratches, dings, cracks and signs of wear and use do not detract from the function of this bench which is sturdy enough to sit on.
