This original painted armoire still maintains the quality and details of the hand-painted finish with unique and colorful background. Shades of green, teal blue, red and brown are all on display.
Date of 1785 is faintly visible along the upper section. 
Notice the top two panels portraying flowers while the lower two panels have churches or buildings displayed.
The interior has two strong shelves for storage. 
Original lock and key still function, although time has shifted the wood so fit is not tight.
This painted two-door armoire has been restored and waxed so it is strong, stable and ready to use. 
Age related wear includes dings, old repairs (including newer pine back and lower front right corner), cracks, nicks in wood, scratches, age related separation to edges/planks, distress etc. while seen throughout the armoire do not detract from the beauty nor function of this wonderful folk-art find.
