This exceptional armoire, in remarkable condition with the original paint intact, was created in 1841 most likely as a wedding gift. The colorful painted floral design was a traditional Hungarian folk-art style element during the 1800's. The casework with two doors and bun feet is painted in a burnt ocher with a detailed floral design on a black background. Please enlarge the photos to examine the details up close. We are happy to install shelving and rod for hanging coats at an addition cost.
